When you are 21 you can in some circumstances ride any size motorbike, but this will depend on whether you have held an A2 licence for more than two years. If you have, you can go straight to the two part practical test, which will need to be on a large motorcycle of at least 595cc (40 kW minimum). If you pass this, you can go on to ride any size motorcycle on the road. If you are aged between 21 and 23 and have not held an A2 licence for two years or more, you will not be allowed to ride any bike larger than A2 until you are 24 years old.
